10.4 Crash...

Can you be a bit more specific about the crash? What happens when it goes? Is it the game that blows up or the editor? What makes it go? Is it anything like this: http://tntbasic.com/community/forums/showthread.php?threadid=1062 ?

Dan,

With crashes like this, I need the logs as gather by the AppleScript 'Report TNT Basic Bug (OS X)'. This will give me the crash logs for TNT Basic, a system profile and debug output. It will tell me exactly which bit of code it crashed in and I can fix the bug. Without them, there's not a lot I can do.

Can you please get them from you customer by sending him the AppleScript?

Cheers,

Mark

Mark,

DanLab has nothing to do with me, just saw the post and thought it needed clarifying. I'm on a Windoze box at present and can't get to a Mac (temporary setback!) so I'm assuming the script just queries the crash logs, but when did it crash? Which log are we looking at? I referred to the other post to see if my explanation would cover both problems, as there was no indication of what the actual crash was (If it was the image pasting issue it may well be solved already).

DanLab,

Check your crash logs (or run the indicated script that you should find in yout TNT directory, mail me if you don't have it) and post the results here, then Mark can try and sort out the problem. Any other information would help...

Danny

Heh - that's the problem with a thread with multiple Dans in it! :)

I was addressing my post to DanLab, not you (allnodcoms) - sorry for the ambiguity! I've just realised that DanLabs post was really old anyway, I thought it was new hence I replied. This is an old bug report which I've emailed DanLab about previously, but I don't think the customer ever got back to him. Still, there's plenty of others to track!

Cheers,

Mark

mac with tiger

I can vouch that not all games created with TNT crash on Tiger. I use Tiger, and the only problems I have result in the machine frezzing up on rare occassions when I press escape while in a game. The screen just goes black, and I have to power off/on my mac mini.

Doesn't Apple dot work?

Command period bombs out of the runner engine, less drastic than a reboot...
