I got my hands on os x (finally...) but I dont seem able to run TNT 1.3! it's like it does not recognize it's an application (since it has no extension). I tried to put ".app" after the name but it tries to run it on os 9... what should I do?

THanks

What does

Matteo, do the 'apple i' thing and check 'Kind:' under the 'General' tab. See what it says... (should be just Application) You could also make sure the 'Open in Classic' check box is clear. I'm assuming you 'updated' to Tiger. TNT runs in either mode, and as the creator flag hasn't changed it may be querying the old 'Desktop database' and seeing it as a classic app.
To Do:

Make sure it's not set to open in classic.

Add '.app', but not to the finder icon, do it through Get info. (Name and Extension tab)

If this fails. Delete it. Log out. Download 1.3 from here and try again. If this doesn't work you could reboot into OS 9 (Start up volume in the control panel) and delete it from there, then rebuild the desktop database. Reboot again into OS X and reinstall.

If none of this works (though one of these should) get back to me...

Oops...

Should read:

What does 'Get Info...' think it is?

Was in such a hurry to get you up and running there, got carried away! ;)

Ok, thanks, I made it work now... looks like just passing the app on windows screws it up...

Passing any file through MS Windows will strip the resource fork - not good for a carbon app!

Glad you got it fixed.
