Here's a thought, now we have windowed operation it would be nice if we could edit (and eventually utilise) the menu bar for things like load / save or global preferences. Maybe the addition of a 'menu editor' block in glyph?

I know this would be a real pain to implement as we're not running an event driven object model, but perhaps the addition of this would not be such a bad idea. It could work in a similar way to 'network events' or 'button clicks', where OS or more specific AE messages could be added to a queue and polled. Menus could then be assigned message id's that could be interpreted by the program at run time.

Any views on this?

I think that would be excellent - personally I would rather see the ability to have multiple windows available on screen.

I think it's a fine idea. As is the multiple windows one.

You can add them to the features request tracker on sourceforge if you want.
