Hey folks.
I've been searching high and low for the fertile ground to plant
the iGame3D project while Tobi and I are in college.

Currently we have an external that bridges Runtime Revolution
with our 3D engine, as well as the stand alone engine,
and a screen saver module.

The engine is written in C, the GUI's are scripted in Rev,
and games run on Lua.

I've always wanted a Basic, but Tobi started with Hypercard.
I'm not even sure what TNT can do, I did the game in sixty seconds
somewhere around 2002, when iGame3D was just getting started
and we were looking for scripting languages and IDE's to use.

iGame3D Website

I need to translate this old Metal Basic program

To make models for simpler version our flying game, and.

Whose all up for making an iGame3D bridge for TNT?

Look over iGame3D content and current scripts, etc.
Then ponder how we can pull this off.

This is the Core Lua file that the igame3d standalone runs on

More Lua in the directory

This is the Runtime Revolution stack script for iGame3D UI

This is a C source Snippet of iGame3D model Exporter

Ok lets talk about how this can happen,

I'll check in here.

Hi, i haven't read your entire post, i'll just explain a bit.

TNT right now is in some kind of "transition". The old code doesn't work very well with new computers andsome bits of it were not too efficient either. So it was decided to do a full rewrite - and this rewrite has just started, and there is no indication of when it will become usable

With the old code (i.e. the current one), it is very unlikely that it will ever happen - mainly because it doesn't build correctly on OS X with XCode, you'd have to get CodeWarrior and build it and make the bridge yourself.

With the new code, i have no idea if possible - but in any case it's not anytime soon

Thanks for sharing

Ok then why not just START at our code, and then over a year or two branch to bring language compatibility so all that old code runs in an openGL window for crossplatform and speed.

Its not impossible to add the best of what TNTBasic was to
other things without bringing all the baggage.

This will need to be discussed with Danny, the project lead now.

However, AFAIK the goals right now are to get up to the level of the old code, so i don't think 3D is a high goal right now
