Hi everyone,

I finished a game engine that I've been working on for the past few weeks.
It's tile-based and works well with overhead and platform games.

After you download it, open the file called "TB Game Engine". This file contains the instructions and the engine.
The file "Your Game" only includes the engine.

It also comes with a simple example.

Download (128 kb)

Enjoy,
Jacob

Hey Jacob!
Seems nice, but... I only can get up to 8fps... maybe its due to Rosetta & the 64mb integrated graphics card.

the 8fps is just on the tag game though, its 58fps on the "tb game engine".

Change sx to 640 and sy to 480, then make if fullscreen.
That should help.

I got 60fps by going "hardware"!!!

I still don't get it, whats wrong with hardware mode?

That's right, I'm making a Castlevania-style game in hardware mode and some weird stuffs happen : there's a slight white "halo" on my sprites even when I don't scale/rotate em.
And the moan commands for scaling and rotating don't work fine.
My game's turning great though, I'll post a screenshot soon - but right now I'm gonna test Jacob's stuff !
